Watch: When dogs showed humans of Army and BSF how it's done on International Yoga Day

Dog units of the Army and the BSF performed yoga with their human compatriots on International Yoga day.

The canines copied their companion's yoga poses to show them that they can match them in flexibility and physical prowess.

Often the services of the dog units towards the nation are overlooked and it was a great gesture from the army men and the BSF commandos to bring them into the limelight.

These dog units risk their lives while performing tasks like patrolling and explosive detection

Several videos of these dog units have been posted on Twitter on International Yoga Day.

Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated on June 21 to raise awareness about the benefits of the age-old practice called yoga.

June 21 was declared as'International Day of Yoga' in the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014, based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's idea.

The Prime Minister performed yoga with other 18000 participants at Ranchi which hosted the main event of  International Yoga Day on June 21. Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated on June 21 to raise awareness about the benefits of the age-old practice called yoga.

 The BJP Twitter handle posted photos of  Prime Minister Modi performing Yoga at Prabhat Tara ground in Ranchi.

Many other BJP ministers also joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi to perform yoga.
