Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was declared the 'Man of the Match' in a friendly T-20 cricket match played between the CM XI and UP IAS Officers Association XI in Lucknow on Sunday.

The Chief Minister scored 65 runs, including 11 boundaries and a six.

This friendly match has been taking place for the last 4 years, every time, Akhilesh taking home the prestigious 'Man of the Match' title.

Several suspicions have been raised that the IAS officers deliberately lost the match to the Chief Minister. Spectators have said that the officers missed catches, bowled slow deliveries and  made sure that their rival team won the friendly match.

According to reports, when one officer bowled out CM Yadav, he was seen upset and holding his head.

The losing team captain, UP Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan speaking to the media post match said that they need 'to improve their game' the next time after losing to the CM 4 years in a row.

Akhilesh Yadav told media, "I will thank my team members for this win, but I will specially like to thank the Chief Secretary and his team for the support because of which we won."
