The elephant named 'Andaal' shakes his ears and uses his trunk to play a melodious tune using a mouth organ in Coimbatore's Thekkampatti. 'Andaal' performed the act while attending the 48-day annual rejuvenation camp for temple elephants in Tamil Nadu that started on January 4.

The pet camp is an initiative of former chief minister J Jayalalitha. At the camp, the elephants are given nutritious food, medicines, healthy bath and special care is taken for their physical exercise. Veterinians are present at the camp which will last till February 20 to monitor the elephants and keep a track of their health status.

A complete medical checkup and treatment of specific diseases are carried out at the camp.
