King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, arrived to India on Tuesday as part of a four-day visit.

He was greeted by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, as was his wife Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck.

However, the highlight was the greeting of their todler son, who shyly waved to the crowd at the airport.

On November 1, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck will meet Swaraj and also meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi later in the day.

On November 2, Wangchuck will call on Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.

The visit would provide an opportunity to both the sides for reviewing the entire gamut of bilateral cooperation.

The visiting dignitary is also scheduled to meet Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

He will conclude his visit on November 3.

Early this month, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar had also travelled to Bhutan and held talks with the King and Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
