Watch: Couple thrashed mercilessly inside Mumbai police station; probe ordered
A video of cops thrashing a couple has gone viral on social media.
A video of a couple being mercilessly beaten up by the police in Mumbai has been making the rounds on social media.
Though more details about why and when the couple was thrashed are yet to emerge, according to reports, the incident took place in Kandivali police station.
A cop can be seen thrashing a couple with a stick in the video, while another cop is seen slapping them.
"The victims had gone to register a case at the Kandivali police station. Police refused to register the case and thrashed the couple," reported ANI. Mumbai police have now reportedly ordered a probe.
However, this is not the first such reported incident. In 2015, an FIR was lodged against constables at the Andheri Police station after a video went viral in which the men in uniform were seen abusing and beating a young couple.
