Amid the backdrop of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spreading like wildfire across India, several bizarre incidents are emerging which shows how people are taking the situation lightly. One such incident was reported in Bilaspur, Chattisgarh, when few people came out despite lockdown was declared.
A TikTok video is going viral that shows police performing aarti of people who came out amid the lockdown. The clip shows cops performing aarti of the violators, putting tilak on them and showering them with flowers in to shame them for stepping out.
In one of the videos, 'Aayiye, Aapka Intezaar Tha' song is played in the background, making the video hilarious.

The out of the box thinking of police to teach people the importance of social distancing was lauded by many.
Yesterday it was reported that the helpline number set up by the Rampur administration in UP has been receiving several odd calls. A man kept calling a district’s coronavirus-linked control room demanding samosas. Fed up with his calls, the DM did get his wish granted, but was also handed a punishment that he was enough to teach him a lesson. He was asked to clean the drain in his area.
PM Modi asserted that 'social distancing' is the only way to stop the spread of the coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown has bought standstill situation everywhere and people are restricted to stay inside their homes. While essential services are available, few people are struggling to get the basics.
