Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa on Saturday asked all BJP MLAs camping in Gurugram to return to Karnataka.

The Karnataka BJP MLAs were staying at a hotel in Gurugram since Monday to avoid being "poached" by the ruling Congress-JDS alliance.

The BJP claims that the MLAs were in the financial and technology hub to finalize strategies for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

A senior leader of BJP in Karnataka, KS Eshwarappa confirmed that all the party MLAs are united.

Eshwarappa also took a dig at how two independent MLAs in the Karnataka Assembly- R Shankar and H Nagesh- withdrew their support from the coalition government on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa, on Tuesday, had accused Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy of indulging in horse-trading by offering ministerial posts and money to BJP MLAs.

"We are not indulging in any poaching. It is Chief Minister Kumaraswamy who is indulging in horse-trading. He himself is offering money and ministerial posts to our MLAs," he had said.

The political drama began in the state after three Karnataka Congress MLAs went to Mumbai on Monday with some BJP MLAs. The Congress alleged that the BJP was trying to topple the Congress-JDS coalition government in the state by poaching its MLAs.

In the 224-member Karnataka Assembly, BJP is the single largest party with 104 MLAs, JD(S) has 37 MLAs and the Congress 80. The majority figure is 113 MLAs.

At the offset, Yeddyurappa also said that some Congress MLAs skipping the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting and the deep differences between the ruling coalition partners are an indication that a volcano may erupt in the coming days.

His remarks came after four dissident Congress MLAs on Friday skipped the CLP meeting in Bengaluru that was called as a show of strength against an alleged bid by the BJP to dislodge the H D Kumaraswamy-led Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) government.

"The absence of Congress MLAs from the CLP meeting and deep differences between the coalition partners are an indication that this is likely to erupt like a volcano in the next coming days," Yeddyurappa said late on Friday evening.

Their absence also shows intense and widespread anger and resentment among Congress MLAs, he said.

The BJP chief said the tone of CLP leader Siddaramaiah's warning to the party MLAs showed his frustration and fear.

"Mr. Siddaramaiah, the tone, tenor and content of the meeting notice given by you to the MLAs shows your frustration and proves that you are gripped by fear. If your relationship with the MLAs was strong and cordial, why did you mention in the notice that action would be taken as per the anti-defection law?" Yeddyurappa asked.

The Congress would issue notices to absentee MLAs- Ramesh Jarkiholi, B Nagendra, Umesh Jadhav, and Mahesh Kumatahalli, Siddaramaiah had told reporters after Friday's meeting.

Meanwhile, the Congress CLP meeting will now be held at 12 pm at Eagleton resort in Bengaluru on Saturday.
