The National Institute of Design (NID) will host an international conference on information design called  'Vision Plus 2010'  December 17-19, as part of its golden jubilee celebrations.

Vision Plus is a series of conferences dedicated to all aspects of information design. The event has been supported by the International Institute of Information Design (IIID) and has been jointly planned, designed and organised with the Institute for Information Design at Japan (IIDJ).

Vision Plus 2010 will focus on three topics --  health care, mobility and communities. The event plans to bring together a wide spectrum of interested and concerned people including those from international bodies, local representatives and experts from the design community and academia from across the country.

Spanning three days, keynote speakers for the event include MP Ranjan from NID, Kiran Sethi from Design for Change, Megha Desai from SEWA,  DK Sikri,  secretary women and child development, government of India and more.

The aim behind Vision Plus is to sensitize decision-makers on the relevance of information design competences for their strategic planning, enhance educational and professional practice, kick-start joint projects, have presentations and demonstrations in a variety of formats and at the same time enjoy discussions and networking with each other.
