The International general secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Pravin Togadia, has said that his organisation would strongly oppose implementation of the Rangnath Mishra Commission which has recommended reservations for minorities.

The VHP leader told reporters here last evening enroute Omkareshwar that the Commission has recommended 10% reservation for Muslims and five per cent for Christians.

"If this was done, an agitation would be launched on the issue throughout the country," Togadia said.

He said the VHP would oppose any attempt by the government to acquire Hindu temples and added that such attempts would not be tolerated irrespective of the party in power.
