The Ghaziabad district authority today issued an order to maintain the status quo in Bajehda Kala village in Dhaulana area after tension mounted there over the issue of the construction of a mosque.A group of villagers yesterday opposed the construction of a mosque in the village following which tension prevailed in the area, the police said.Police personnel were deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident, district magistrate Hredesh Kumar said.Kumar said that the decision of the mosque construction will be cleared only after a study of the situation in the village.
