Says block will offer space to IT players having domestic operations.
Laying the foundation for extension project of IT Building based at Electronics Complex in Pardeshipura, industries minister Kailash Vijayvargiya claimed that the proposed complex would accommodate IT companies having domestic operations.
Significantly, the Crystal IT Park built at Khandwa Road -being an SEZ--only houses export-based industries.
He claimed that the contractor concerned for IT park extension works has assured to complete the project in 1.5 years instead of scheduled 2 year completion.
Vijayvargiya added that the BJP's decision to announce Narendra Modi's name as Prime Ministerial candidate would impact party's seats in assembly elections and the party would now win 175 seats as opposed to 150 seats.
He also claimed that the state government would waive off VAT levied on Air Turbine Fuel in the state, if Tata group's airlines Air Asia establishes operational hub in Indore and Bhopal.
"This would also generate jobs for professionals and would ensure operations of large numbers of flights from these two cities," he maintained.
Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan claimed that Indore is taking rapid strides in terms of development.
Significantly, after a long time, Mahajan and Vijayvargiya had shared the dais together in the city during this function.
Secretary IT, HR Rao on the occasion said that still cities like Gurgaon, Pune and Bangalore are IT hubs but among tier II and III cities, Indore has plenty of potential of attracting IT ventures in the time when IT companies are striving for cutting cost.
He also claimed that this new project would offer space to IT companies having non-export operations. The main building constructed around 15 years ago was occupied by CSC and the new block would be built adjacent to it.
PLAN AFOOT FOR Rs 37 CR PROJECT
The proposed block would have two underground floors for parking and three floors for housing IT companies with total area of 98,000 sq ft. The project has been planned with an outlay of Rs 37 crore. The stipulated project completion period is around 24 months. The block is expected to house around one and a half dozen units.
