Vijay Goel receives Asian Achievers 'Award for Professional of the Year'

Vijay Goel, general secretary of the UK Chapter of International Council of Jurists, has won the Asian Achievers 'Award for Professional of the Year'.

Goel, partner at the Singhania & Co in London, was conferred with the award by Britain's minister of state for Justice Lord Tom McNally at a ceremony at the Wembley Stadium.

Founder of the 'Indo-European Business Forum', Goel was earlier awarded the 'National Law Day Award for his exemplary contributions in commercial law and in strengthening Indo-UK business relations by president Pratibha Patil.

Other recipients of the awards include Maneck A Dalal, OBE, (Achievement in Community Services), Ravi Bopara, (Sports personality of the year), Dr Bhikhu and Dr Vijay Patel (Editor's Award for Vision and Enterprise).
