The condition of the 23-year-old physiotherapy student, who was gang-raped in a moving bus in Delhi, is stable after she underwent a minor surgery, said BJP leader Vijender Gupta after meeting her doctors and family members.

Gupta, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Delhi unit chief, told IANS that the doctors are subjecting the girl to various tests but she is now stated to be stable.

"The girl was shifted to Operation Theatre (OT) from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) around 2 pm on Sunday for a minor surgery and cleaning," he said.
