Speaking at a function organised by JP Vichar Manch to observe the birth anniversary of Jaiprakash Narayan here yesterday, Sinha said "Modi ji has been leading the country with full energy, powerful style and character and taking the country's image to a new height in the world arena."

Claiming that the border tension between India and Pakistan had eased within nine days due to Modi's strong leadership, he said India did not want to scratch the past but wanted a peaceful and cordial relation with its neighbour.

A member of Parliament from Bihar, Sinha also hailed social activist Kailash Satyarthi (India) and Malala Yousafzai for jointly winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

It was good news and good symptom for both India and Pakistan to utilize its energy and power for constructive work such as eradicating poverty, maintaining harmony, he said.

Referring to the thoughts of Jaiprakash Narayan, Sinha said JP was against casteism, dynastic rule, corruption and bad governance but "unfortunately, the dynastic rule system is prevalent across political parties, including BJP." Sinha said Jaiprakash Narayan's teachings were still relevant particularly in the context of Jharkhand where "corruption and bad governance was prevailing."
