BJP poster in Varanasi features American soldiers instead of Indian Army

A Bharatiya Janata Party poster welcoming PM Modi in Varanasi on Monday featured a silhouetted image of soldiers. However, according to an Indian Express report, the photograph is actually of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) of the US armed forces. It was reportedly clicked in Iraq during American military operations.
The poster put up at Mahanagar features PM Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, local BJP leaders like Pradeep Agrahari, Naveen Kapoor, Maneesh Kapoor and other BJP leaders.
A similar silhouetted image of American soldiers had also appeared in the form of a banner in the TV series Band of Brothers as well.
Addressing a public rally in his Lok Sabha constituency on Monday, PM Modi said people celebrated 'choti Diwali' when the Army destroyed terrorist launch pads across LoC on September 29. He also asked citizens to also remember soldiers even when there are no sounds of firing of bullets and shelling on borders.
