Uttarakhand polls: Senior Congress leader Yashpal Arya joins BJP
He used to head the Congress Party's Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee.
Senior Uttarakhand Congress leader and state minister Yashpal Arya has joined BJP in presence of Amit Shah.
He was formerly the president of Congress Party's Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee has joined BJP.
According to Amar Ujala, he is likely to contest the assembly polls from Nainital.
Uttarakhand will go to the polls on February 15, 2017. The state has 70 assembly seats. The polls will be held in a single phase.
