Uttar Pradesh: Jeweller robbed of cash worth Rs 20 lakh, later shot dead
Jewller robbed of cash worth Rs. 20 lakh and shot dead while he was on his way home in Hardoi district.
A jeweller Sarvendra Pandey on Friday was robbed of cash worth Rs. 20 lakh and later shot by unidentified men in Hardoi district.
Police said, the incident happened when Sarvendra Pandey was on his way home along with a friend Avadhesh Mishra. The robbers followed them for a while and then attacked. Following which Pandey fell off his bike and was injured. The robbers then escaped with the bag full of cash, leaving Pandey dead.
The locals rushed both to the nearby hospital where Pandey succumbed to his injuries while Avadhesh is under intensive care.
An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.
