In view of the Ayodhya title suit verdict to be delivered on September 24, the borders of Uttar Pradesh with neighbouring Uttarakhand and Nepal have been sealed and strict vigil is being maintained on all those coming to the state from these sides.A decision to step up security in the area in view of the Ayodhya title suit decision on September 24 was taken yesterday at a meeting of senior police officials of UP and Uttarakhand, Gurbachan Lal, IG Bareilly, said today.Special vigil is also being maintained at the state's border with Nepal to ward off anti-national elements from crossing over and creating any problems, he said.The IG said that several unruly elements from Uttarakhand had come to Bareilly during riots in March and the decision to seal the border has been taken to ensure that it is not repeated after the Ayodhya verdict.He added that all security officials deployed on the border would remain in direct touch with him.
