Uttar Pradesh: 1,000 detonators, 5,000 gelatin sticks seized

Four persons were arrested by the UP ATS and the police in Jhansi for smuggling explosive material. One thousand detonators and 5,000 gelatin sticks were recovered from the possession of the arrested. 

ADG UP ATS Asim Arun said the arrested persons have been identified. 

“The motive behind smuggling of the recovered gelatin sticks seems to be for using it for illegal mining. We are also probing terror or Naxal agenda behind it,” ATS Asim Arun said.
