NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday witnessed an uproar over violence in Agra and the incident in Bhagalpur in Bihar where a thief was beaten up by a mob, tied to a motorcycle and dragged.

RJD members threatened to storm the well protesting the Bhagalpur incident.

They alleged this showed there was a 'jungle raj' in the JD(U)-BJP ruled state and minorities were not safe.

SP members trooped into the well protesting the Agra incident.

Curfew was clamped in parts of the city following violence after a speeding truck crushed four youths taking part in a religious festival.

Speaker Somnath Chatterjee adjourned the House till 1230 hrs after his repeated pleas to restore order went unheeded.
