The Congress has set aside UPCC chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi's decision to appoint new chairman of the party's OBC department in the state, terming it as "illegal and not as per the specific rules".     In a letter sent to Joshi and other heads in the party, chairman of the OBC department in the AICC K C Lenka set aside the appointment of Sidh Gopal Sahu, made by the UPCC president earlier this month."The president PCC is not empowered to appoint state chairmen of any department," Lenka said in the letter, adding "So, Sidh Gopal Sahu, if appointed as chairman is illegal and not authorized by specific rules."Earlier, the AICC had cancelled Joshi's decision to appoint a new chairman of the minority department.
