The BJP today alleged that the UPA government at the Centre is only interested in protecting the interests of oil marketing companies and not that of common people who have been hit hard following increase in prices of petroleum products."Both Sonia Gandhi (UPA chairperson) and her son Rahul Gandhi are only interested to protect oil marketing companies and not 'aam admi'", BJP president Nitin Gadkari told reporters after a state BJP legislators’ meeting here.Gadkari said the government had failed to contain prices of essential commodities and inflation has touched 13%. The UPA government had become "insensitive" to the issue of price rise, he said.The party had chalked out strategy for a nation-wide strike call tomorrow against the Central government’s "failure" to control price rise, he said.
