UP CM Yogi Adityanath's father visits Hardwar job fair with his granddaughters

While nepotism is one of the most entrenched tradition in Indian politics, particularly among parties with regional strongholds, there are certain politicians who are hell-bent on ensuring that their public office in no way provides undue help to members of their family. While PM Modi’s family lives in a nondescript house, UP CM Yogi Adityanath is another one whose family members live a down-to-earth lifestyle.

According to Zee Media bureau inputs, on Monday, UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s father Anand Singh Bisht, along with his granddaughters Archana Bisht and Laxmi Rawat visited the Hardwar Job Fair set up by the Uttarakhand government.

He called the job fair a boom for the youth of the state and would lead to less people asking for recommendations for jobs. This he argued would help the unemployed youngsters and eliminate corruption.

Adityanath’s nieces – Archana Bisht and Laxmi Rawat – also said they would like to get a job by dint of their own competence and hard work.  

Adityanath was born as Ajay Mohan Bisht on 5 June 1972 in the village of Panchur in Pauri Garhwal erstwhile UP and left home in the 90s to join the Ram Jan Bhoomi movement. His father Anand Singh Bisht was a forest ranger and he’s the second in a family of four brothers and three sisters.

Ajay Mohan Bisht was given the name Yogi Adityanath and became his successor at the Gorakhpur Manth. He is also a five-time MP from Gorakhpur before becoming the UP CM.
