The four doctors - Raman Dwaj Singh, Anshuman Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh and Rajesh Ranjan - were promised Rs 50,000 for solving the paper which was to be passed to examinees appearing for CPMT at different centres, including the state capital, on Monday.

The kingpin of the gang, Prafulla Chandra Vaish, was also arrested and during interrogation he said they used to charge between Rs 5-15 lakh for helping examinees secure admission in medical colleges, STF said.

A number of electronic and spying devices have been recovered from their possession.

The CPMT was cancelled last year on June 22 after the examination paper for entrance to medical colleges in the state was found to have been leaked in Ghaziabad.
