UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi held a joint road show in Agra on Friday ahead of UP Elections 2017, which would commence on February 11.

This was the second time the two young leaders were spotted together campaigning for the SP-Congress alliance in the state. 

Both the leaders took a jibe at the Central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetization drive in the address to people after the road show. Yadav said that people were standing in long queues outside bank ATMs, will now stand in the line to oust the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)."We have seen all kind of days but haven't seen acche din. They promised us acche din and fooled us but now people will stand in queues to defeat BJP," he said while addressing a rally. Akhilesh also took potshots at the BJP for making promise of providing Rs 15 lakhs.

Commenting on the budget, Yadav said that the budget that was announced hasn't really provided relief to the poor people.

The Congress leader taking it forward from there said that those waiting in queues during demonetization were poor, honest people and not robbers, PM Modi tried to shield the 50 wealthy families rather. He also went on to add that the Central government doesn't talk about development, they are only focus on politics of lies.

Gandhi said that BJP is simply spreading anger among people. On BSP, Gandhi was of the opinion that there aren't even in the competition in the upcoming elections.

He promised people to work wholeheartedly with Yadav for development in Uttar Pradesh.
