An unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with commandos in Langdum Lamkhai area in Imphal East district today, official sources said.
   
One .32 pistol and one hand grenade were recovered from the spot, the sources said. The body was sent to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital.
