Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Sunday said that though terrorism has emerged as a global problem it should not be associated with Islam as all "Muslims were neither terrorist nor its sponsorer".

"Though terrorism might have emerged as a global problem, it was unfair to associate it with Islam as all Muslims were neither terrorist nor its sponsorer," he said here while addressing followers from 27 countries. He appealed to people to take resolve to message of peace and brotherhood given by Lord Buddha. Remembering Mahatma Gandhi, he said that end of terrorism is necessary for world peace.
