The bomb disposal squad of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), entrusted with airport security, was informed soon after the box was found at the arrival of the international terminal this morning, airport sources said.
An unclaimed box at the international terminal in the airport today created a flutter before security personnel found it contained some fruits.
The bomb disposal squad of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), entrusted with airport security, was informed soon after the box was found at the arrival of the international terminal this morning, airport sources said.
After scanning the box with metal detector, CISF personnel opened it only to find some pomogranate fruits. It was suspected that some passenger could have left it behind.
Bomb disposal duty had been handed over to CISF by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) from today, the sources added.
