A railway route electrification project on Ujjain-Indore line is likely to be completed by the end of September next year, a railway official said today.    "The Rs70 crore project through Maksi railway route was initiated in year 2007-08 but due to some technical and contractual reasons, it has been delayed," M P Singh, chief project manager of Rail Electrification told PTI on phone from Kota (Rajasthan).    So far, 80% work on electrification of the 115 km-long route has been completed and the remaining was underway on war footing, Singh said adding that the electric poles between Shastri Bridge and Patel Bridge in Indore have been erected.    It would be a "Y" circuit of electrification on Ujjain-Indore and Maski-Devas rail routes, he said. When asked whether there was any plan for electrification between Sawaimadhopur to Jaipur in Rajasthan, he denied any such move.
