Intensifying the Congress campaign against the Nitish Kumar government and RJD-LJP front in Bihar, AICC leader Jagdish Tytler today said the days of 'political caste traders' in the state were over.

"On the day the nation is remembering late prime minister Indira Gandhi, I can send the message that the days of jaati ke saudagaron (political traders of caste) are over, and the Congress is set to romp to victory," he told reporters here.

He had earlier charged the NDA and RJD-LJP front in Bihar with indulging in 'politics of caste' which, he said, had ruined the state.

"I wish to appeal to all those who deserted the party in the recent past to return to the Congress fold and strengthen the organisation to rid the people of Bihar of caste politics."

Tytler also remembered the contributions of Indira Gandhi in all sectors, including the nuclear programme, generation of power, erdication of poverty and health and education, and said the country's present progress and development on all these fronts was due to the programmes pursued by her.
