The minor girl who was allegedly molested by suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC from Bihar, Tunna Pandey filed the FIR under pressure of GRP. According to ANI reports, the girl and her father are now denying the charges against Pandey.

Pandey was arrested on Sunday by the Government Railway Police (GRP) for molesting the girl on the Poorvanchal Express. The 12-year-old's parents had filed a written complaint against him which led to his arrest, Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP), Muzaffarpur, BN Jha said.

The parents complained that Pandey had allegedly kissed their daughter in an AC-2 coach around 3.00 am and asked her to come to the toilet with him when the train was near Sarai station close to Hajipur junction, he said. The frightened girl raised an alarm following which the parents who had their berth elsewhere in the compartment rushed to her. The victim family was travelling from Howrah to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, while Pandey had ticket from Duragapur to Hajipur. 

Pandey is in liquor trade and an MLC from local bodies quota in Siwan. The BJP MLC however denied the allegation and said, "I was just taking out my phone charger, didn't even know whether it was a girl who was sleeping or a boy. When I switched the lights on by mistake while trying to take out my charger, the girl shouted that I was misbehaving with her."
