Tuberculosis scare not over for Sikkim
Sikkim stands better as compared to the rest of the country where an estimated 14.75 lakh people suffered from TB last year.
A total of 273 people suffered from tuberculosis in Sikkim last year among an estimated population of 1 lakh in the state.
Sikkim stands better as compared to the rest of the country where an estimated 14.75 lakh people suffered from TB last year, state TB officer Dr Rinzing Dorjee said.
He said TB was the leading cause of death among adults.
