Now, Sherly Paul, former Principal of Seth MA High School in Andheri, has finally got justice. The Supreme Court on Monday ordered Paul's reinstatement with immediate effect and asked the school management to clear all her pending dues.

According to Mumbai Mirror, in an incident dating back to April 2, 2013, Paul was approached by three students with a complaint that their Algebra teacher Yogesh Yadav would send them porn clips and touch them inappropriately in class. Later the same year, another 40 students accused Yadav of sexual harassment.

Taking cognizance of the matter, Paul filed an FIR against Yadav under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) at the DN Nagar police station. However, the school management and teachers turned on her instead and terminated her services on July 14, 2014. On the other hand, Yadav was given his job back on November 14 the same year after simply conducting an inquiry on him.

Which is when Paul approached the School Tribunal against her dismissal, followed by Bombay High Court and won the case in both the instances. With the Supreme Court order now, her ordeal has finally come to an end since she has been struggling to make ends meet in the past two years.

The accused teacher Yadav is now being tried under POCSO in a lower court.
