Taking exception to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seeking that Telangana stop generation of power at the Srisailam plant, the ruling TRS leaders and activists in Telangana held protests at different places in the state.

TRS MLCs and other leaders held a protest in Hyderabad, while the TDP office was allegedly attacked by TRS activists in Nalgonda district.

Naidu's stance that Telangana stop power generation adds to the existing shortage of power in Telangana, state Finance Minister and TRS leader E Rajender alleged.

Dismissing TRS' allegations, Naidu said in Vijayawada that continued power generation at Srisailam plant would lead to problems for drinking water in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

He wondered why TRS targeted him though he was ready to provide 300 MW of power to Telangana.
