Muskan Pathan, a student of Hutchings High School in Pune, was the All India topper at the ICSE exams with a score of 99.40%. Muskan said that her consistent efforts helped her in achieving the feat. “I used to study for 4-5 hours everyday which seems to have helped in getting a good score. While I did expect a good score, becoming the national topper came as a surprise” she added.

Muskan is a resident of Hadapsar in Pune. Her father Abdullah Pathan works in an IT company and mother Sakira is a doctor. “She is an extremely hardworking student and we were confident that she would get a good score” said her father Abdullah. 

She has scored a perfect 100 in Commerce and Maths and a 99 in English, History and Science and wants to become a doctor. “I have not yet decided about the specialization but I want to become a surgeon” she said.
