Top Harkat-ul-Mujahideen militant among two killed in Sopore

A top Harkat-ul-Mujahideen militant was among two ultras killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore town of North Kashmir today.A defence spokesperson said the encounter started yesterday in Haigham, 50 kms from here, in which an Army jawan was killed.The slain self-styled divisional commander was identified as Nouman. He was a Pakistani national and involved in an attack on Lal Chowk here in February, 2010.Sepoy Sanjay Kumar belonging to the Rashtriya Rifles was killed in the encounter yesterday.
