TMC vice-president joins Cong in Tripura

The Tripura unit of Trinamool Congress on Friday suffered a jolt as its vice-president Moti Lal Saha with his 2000 followers joined Congress.
Handing the flag of the party to Saha, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Sudip Roy Burman said this was the homecoming of the leader who was a minister in the state cabinet when Congress was in power in 1988-93.
Saha told reporters that he had joined the TMC with high hope that the party would be able to launch a strong fight against the ruling CPI-M, but his aspiration was not fulfilled.
