Tight security arrangements have been made across Bihar in view of the dawn-to-dusk state-wide bandh and blockade called by the RJD tomorrow to protest the government's alleged failure to rein in spiralling food prices.Extra vigil is being maintained at vital installations during the bandh, additional director general of police (headquarters) US Dutta said.Patrolling was intensified on national highways to ensurenormal movement of traffic, he said.LJP, CPI, CPI-M and CPI-ML (Liberation) have extended full support to the bandh.Urging people to support the bandh call, RJD president Lalu Prasad said, "Both the central and state governments havefailed to rein in the rocketing prices of essential commodities.""We have exempted essential services like medical, water and electricity supplies, besides the railways from the purview of the call," Prasad said.
