Three poeple, including a branch manager, have been sent to 14 days judicial custody in a cheating case by a local court here.

Punjab National Bank Branch Manager Rajiv Khatri and two others, arrested on charges of cheating, were sent to judicial custody by the court here in Shamli town yesterday.

According to the prosecution, Rs 55,00,000 were drawn from a bank account of a trader Jitender Tyagi by Amit Jain in connivance with Khatri.

Tyagi subsequently lodged a complaint with Karnal police in the case following which Khatri, Jain and another person was arrested.
