HYDERABAD: Three Maoists, including a  woman, were killed in an encounter with police in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, police said.

The encounter took place near Somadevapally village of Racherla mandal, they said.

The Naxals had recently blasted the Somadevapally railway station.

This was the second encounter between the police and Maoists in the past 24 hours.

On Friday, a top Maoist leader, M Ravikiran alias Sridhar, who was a member of the Central Committee of CPI (Maoists), was killed.
