With the death of three more persons, including two women, the toll in the viral fever in the district has risen to 14, officials said here today.
 
Sweta, a teacher and resident of Shashtri nagar, died here after having high fever for the past couple of days, they said.
 
Another woman, Goldy, who came to meet her parents in Selamabad village, died due to fever, they said.
 
In another incident, a villager died in Nidholi near Pilakhuwa here.
 
Earlier, six persons, including two children, reportedly died in Manki and Kalcchina areas due to viral fever.
 
District magistrate Hredesh Kumar has directed the chief medical officer to rush all medical staff and medicines in the affected villages including Manki, Kalchhina, Bhojpur and Muradnagar.
