Three killed as storm uproots trees and damages houses in Uttar Pradesh
A middle-aged couple died in Meja tehsil, while a young woman was killed in Karchhana tehsil, a police spokesperson said.

Normal life was also affected as electricity cables were snapped at a number of places. Traffic was also disrupted in the area, he said.
Police and local administration officials have reached the affected areas from where injured people have been sent to hospitals and efforts were being made to remove the uprooted trees and ensure resumption of normal life as early as possible, the spokesperson added.The storm which lasted for nearly 45 minutes was followed by lightning and drizzle, the weather office said.
On May 20, eleven people were killed in a storm.
