A 26-year-old woman who duped atleast three city-based jewellers to the tune of Rs 3.72 lakhs during last one month has been arrested, police said today.

API NR Desle of Bazarpeth police station in Kalyan said that accused Mitali Kulkarni cheated Padmavati Jewellers, Mutha and Sons, and Prem Jewellers on three separate occasions after posing as an advocate from the Bombay High Court.

She made purchases from these jewellers through cheques, all of which bounced later following which a police complaint was registered.

Kulkarni was arrested on Saturday under sections 420 and 406 of the IPC, police added.
