Three boys were injured in an improvised explosive device blast in the Bhatti Dhar area of Poonch district today.

The IED exploded at about 11am when a group of shepherds were grazing their animals in a meadow in Bhatti Dhar, about 180km from Jammu.

The pressurised IED, left by terrorists in the area, probably exploded after an animal stepped on it.

The injured boys, in the age group of 10-15 years, were rushed to the subdistrict hospital at Mendhar.
