Three people were killed and two critically injured due to heavy rains, causing landslide in Uttarkhand's Pithoragarh on Sunday.

Earlier on August 5, the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway 58 was closed near Tota Ghati in Uttarakhand due to landslides.

Torrential rains for the past few days have wreaked havoc in the state with reports of death every now and then.

National Disaster Response Force teams have rushed to the area to evacuate those still trapped in under the debris.

Other parts of Uttarakhand like Dehradun and Rishikesh also witnessed rains.
