Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane said that the message was very clear for Pakistan and its terrorists that whosoever crosses the Line of Control to infiltrate into India would be dealt with in the same manner and would not be able to go back. The Army Chief General was commenting on the successful operation in Nagrota where the security forces eliminated four terrorists on Thursday.

General Naravane spoke of the great synergy between the Army, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and paramilitary troops. He praised the troops for this operation against the terrorists, who were reportedly hiding in a truck filled with apples. The four terrorists are suspected to be members of the Jaish-e-Mohammed.

"This was a very successful operation by the security forces. It shows the high degree of synergy between all the security forces operating on the ground," General Naravane told ANI.

"The message is very clear for the adversary and terrorists that whosoever tries to infiltrate towards our side would be dealt in the same manner and they would not be able to go back," he added.

After the encounter, 11 AK-47s rifles, 3 pistols, 29 grenades, and other devices were recovered from them. It is suspected that they had infiltrated for a big plan and were headed towards the Kashmir valley.

A significant quantity of Pakistan-made medicines was recovered from their possession, sources said.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) along with the Special Operations Group of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Army received information about a suspicious truck and were put on alert. This led to the operation at 4:20 a.m. when there was an attempt made to stop the truck near the Ban toll plaza in the Nagrota area of Jammu. The operation continued for three hours.
