Ten suspected swine flu patients, including a software engineer, have been admitted in the Civil Hospital here, hospital sources said today.

They were admitted to the isolation ward yesterday and their swab samples sent to Pune's National Institute of Virology (NIV) for testing, they said.

Civil Surgeon Ravindra Niturkar said eight of them had gone to Belgaum in neighbouring Karnataka to meet a relative, a swine flu patient who died later. The software engineer, who works in Hyderabad, has come to his parents' house here after falling ill, he added.
