Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav's promise of creating 10 lakh jobs in Bihar failed to entice the voters. According to recent trends of Bihar Assembly elections 2020, the Mahagathbandhan or the Grand Alliance is falling short of the majority mark.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), The National Democratic Alliance is currently leading on 122 seats while the Tejashwi led Mahagathbandhan is at 113 seats.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejaswi Yadav in party's poll manifesto had promised several goodies to the people of Bihar which include the creation of 10 lakh jobs, higher Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers and improved health care facilities.

But all these promises seem to prove a damp squib for the RJD as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) looks poised to form next government in Bihar. This will give incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a  fourth term.

A 'smart village' concept was also mentioned by Tejashwi Yadav in the manifesto along with other promises

"This is not a manifesto; this is a resolution and this will become a reality. I assure you that I will sign papers to ensure jobs to 10 lakh people on the very first day of the cabinet meeting. People used to make fun of where we will generate employment. Now, you must understand there is a difference between employment and job. Here we are talking about government jobs," Tejashwi had said.

Meanwhile, continuous celebrations are taking place at the JDU office in Patna since the time NDA has come close to the majority mark in the trends.
