Supreme Court has directed Teesta Setalvad, her husband Javed Anand shall not be arrested in the fund embezzlement case.

The apex court said if Teesta does not cooperate in probe, Gujarat police can file application for cancellation of their bail. The court also directed Setalvad and her NGOs to provide list of documents and means of donors as sought by Gujarat police.

A new bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday heard social activist Teesta Setalvad and her husband's plea and , who are seeking anticipatory bail in a case of alleged misappropriation of public funds.

According to reports, the new bench shall comprise of Justice Dipak Mishra and Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel.

An FIR had reportedly been lodged last year against Setalwad, her husband Javed Anand and Tanvir Jafri, son of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri (who was killed in the 2002 Gujarat riots), for allegedly embezzling funds meant for a museum for the victims of the incident.
