Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi today appealed to the people to save water during rainy season by adopting good measures and schemes."People should also carry through the implemented schemes, that will benefit the future generation", he said at a workshop here.Pointing out that researchers have warned that many problems would raise across the globe due to water scarcity, Karunanidhi said "Therefore, we need to handle the water resources efficiently".   Higlighting various water saving schemes implemented during the DMK regim, he claimed Tamil Nadu was the first state in the country to start intra-state water linking programme.
